Wireless Standards
We believe strongly that any standard must deliver real end user benefits and we see 3 fundamental requirements as a minimum for any wireless power standard:
- Loosely coupled wireless solutions as opposed to the current focus on tightly coupled wireless solutions that offer little benefit over existing cable based power solutions.
- Efficiency levels from the plug to the device that meet or exceed the performance of existing cable based power solutions.
- Consumer safety by keeping to the lowest effective transmission frequency.
We are supporting the only independent wireless standards initiative being led by the Consumer Electronics Association. We are an active member on the sub committee. As we find and post news and articles relating to the wireless standards discussion, you can find them and participate below.
