wireless power transmission

Introduction
PowerbyProxi's wireless power solutions are based on inductively coupled power transfer (inductively power transfer) technology. inductively power transfer applies the scientific principle of electromagnetic inductance.

A transformer is probably the most well known example of this principle. Electrical energy applied to primary side of the transformer is converted to an electromagnetic field which in turn, induces a current in the secondary side. This current can then be applied to a load.

The essential difference between a transformer and an inductively power transfer system is the medium through which the electromagnetic field is transmitted from the primary to the secondary. In a transformer this is an iron core. In an inductively power transfer system the transmission can be through any non-metallic medium.

A common household product that uses this technology is the electric toothbrush. However, the use of this technology has been limited due to the high inefficiencies associated with the power transfer.

PowerbyProxi Technology
PowerbyProxi's patented technology allows our products to achieve very high efficiencies by using a revolutionary 2nd generation inductively power transfer that can intelligently tune itself in the field. This makes our systems robust against factors that affect system tuning such as changes in environmental conditions and variations in load.
